Why Its Good To Compare iPad Prices
When you are looking to buy an iPad it is always a good idea to search online to find the cheapest possible prices. The internet is such a convenient source of information for shopping around for a bargain, but sometimes it's really hard to find the absolute best iPad prices unless you know where to look.
Generally speaking there's only ever very small discounts to be had on all new iPad models. This is because Apple have recommended retail prices for their items and there isn't much flexibility on this and also the mark up for retailers is pretty slim.
This is where using a price comparison website comes in. Many people turn to price comparison websites to save time when trying to narrow down the cheapest price on any given iPad model. There are also other advantages when using a comparison site to compare iPad prices:
1. The Best Price
This is the most obvious reason for using a price comparison website. The site will show the selling prices from various electrical retailers enabling you to quickly scan through to find the best offers. You can then easily click through to the retailer’s site to purchase your iPad, or to check out any extra costs involved such as postage and packaging rates and delivery speed.
2. Flash Sales or Promotions
From time to time some retailers will launch a special price promotion, special coupon codes, or offer time limited discounts for purchasing online. Using a price comparison site can alert you to these sales, and you can find out how long the promotional periods or sales are running for so you can ensure you buy your iPad at the best possible price.
3. Which model iPad?
With all the different iPad models on offer, it can be an enormous help to be able to use a comparison site to check out the differences between each model to help you decide which model would suit your needs the best. This is an obvious benefit to the first time buyer who may need more information about the iPad than just the cheapest price.
What you have to consider when you are buying your brand-new iPad is the Apple tiered pricing structure. Some Apple products are priced higher to make you feel better about buying a lower priced item. This is not a bad thing when you think about it as it enables a customer to pay a little more to get a little more, which can fit in well with most people’s budgets. Having a tiered pricing structure is better than having a universally high price that could put owning an iPad out of a lot of people’s grasp.

Support – When you want to buy a relatively expensive product, you want to know that if anything were to happen to it that it would be repaired quickly. Well, this is exactly what you get with an iPad. Apple is well-known to provide an unbeatable customer service, so if you buy one of the iPads you can have the peace of mind that if it needed any repairs, Apple would gladly help you out.
Applications – This is one of the major things that the iPad has over any other tablet, the number of applications available. There are so many applications for the iPad on the “App Store”, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Other tablets may have a few thousand apps available, but the App store has many, many more! There’s literally an app for just about anything that you can think of.
Design – I don’t think any other tablet can compete with the iPad in relation to its design or looks. The design is slim and stylish while still feeling strong while you’re holding it.
Performance – Since the new iPad 3 has a quad A5X core processor, there’s no need to worry about whether it can handle running several applications at once. As well as having a faster processor with more cores than the iPad 2 it also has twice as much RAM,so if you ever used the original or iPad 2 and thought that were fast, you’re in for treat when you get your hands on the new iPad 3.
Software – Personally, I think that iOS (the operating system that runs on the iPad) is one of the best operating systems that’s available today. There are so many added features compared to older iOS software. As well as this, Apple are constantly coming up with new ideas of how they can improve the operating system, so you’ll always have something to look forward to if you buy a new iPad.
Battery Life – You can get roughly ten hours of battery life from all of the iPads, which is very good for a tablet. This means that most people can get days and days of use without the need to charge it.
Two Cameras – Very few tablets have two cameras, especially cameras that take a decent picture too! Both the iPad 3 and 2 have these features, the front facing camera is also great for chatting to friends and family online.
Top Uses For An iPad
You can do just about anything on an iPad. The days where you needed a laptop, an mp3 player and a console to play your games on is long gone. Once you have one, you can do nearly anything that you want. If you’re asking yourself whether it’s worth it to purchase since you’re not too sure what you’d actually use it for, here are some things that you could use an iPad for:
Music – If you love music the iPad could be the perfect gadget for you. Some people don’t really think of it as a music player, but it’s one of the best ones around! Think about it, since it’s made by Apple you have access to the iTunes Store which will allow you to buy basically any song that’s out as well as not needing to buy any speakers to play your music on since they already have built in speakers which are very loud for the size of the device. If you’ve ever used an iPod before in the past, you’ll know how easy it is to create playlists, play songs by a particular artist and so on. It’s the exact same case with these.
Games – There are thousands upon thousands of games that have been specifically made for the iPad. No matter what type of games you like, you can be sure that you’ll find it. By using the App Store you can download a wide variety of different type of games, whether they’re free games or games that you have to pay for. Another bonus is that many games that are popular on consoles such as the Nintendo Ds are available on the App Store but at a much cheaper price.
Online Browsing – No matter what you love doing on the internet, the iPad has got you covered. If you spend loads of time on Youtube, you can use the Youtube app to watch all the videos that you want, if you want to go on any website that’s on the internet, you can use Safari to go to it, if you constantly check your email address for new emails, you can use the Mail app to always know if you’ve got an email or not.
Reading Books – Many people also use their iPad as a way to read the latest books. With iBooks (which comes pre-installed on your device on the latest iOS) you can read books just like you would with normally, by flicking pages to go to the next page etc. There are a lot of books which are completely free to download as well as some books that you’ll need to pay for to read. What makes it so much better than other e-book readers is that you can do multiple tasks at once. For example, while you’re reading a book you can listen to any song.
Are iPads Worth The Money?
There are so many people who ask whether purchasing an iPad is worth the money that Apple charge for them, but how can you decide? It obviously depends on how much use that you’ll get from it, but in my opinion I think that they are worth the money. Some people assume that because they are seen as an expensive gadget to buy, it’s not worth the money – but this couldn’t be any further from the truth. Anyway, I’m going to mention some of the reasons why I think it’s worth spending that little bit extra on this amazing bit of technology:
Travel – If you travel a lot, getting an iPad could be a good idea for you. You might be thinking to yourself that you already have a laptop, so why bother getting another gadget so you can browse the web? But it’s simple really, there’s no hassle carrying an iPad around all day long since they are so light, where as laptops can be quite heavy, especially if you’re carrying it around all day. If you just use your laptop or desktop computer to check emails, read the news online and so on, I’d seriously recommend that you think about getting an iPad, it just makes life so much easier.
Quality – The quality of the iPad products are great. That’s one of the main reasons why Apple put a high price tag on their products since they want to make sure that it’ll last a relatively long period of time. Other gadgets may seem cheap, but there’s a good chance that it’s a false economy since you’ll more than likely have a problem or two with them over the following year or two. With an iPad though, you can be nearly certain that nothing will happen to your device, and if it does, Apple are known to actually care about their customers.
Easy Access To Wireless – There has never been a device on the market before which makes it so easy to access wireless networks wherever you are. Take this for an example, you’re in a hotel and want to use their wireless connection to check your emails. You have two choices, either set up your laptop which takes a couple of minutes, mess about with connection settings to get in to the wireless network etc. Or, you could just tap the mail icon on your iPad and check your emails straight away! I know which one I’d choose.
3G – If you have a 3G iPad, you can go online no matter where you are. This means that you can go online when you’re in the car, on the train or even while you’re out shopping for example.
